No, you will pay the second highest bidder's maximum bid + bid increment. You may win the item for a lot less than your maximum bid.

Post subject: Doubt about how the bid works
Hi,
first of all, sorry for my poor english. I searched the forum for an answer to my question but I didn't find it. I understand how the sniper service works, but:
If I place a bid (e.g. 120$), does it mean that if I win the auction I will pay 120$ for sure? or this is only the maximum amount I'm willing to pay so it is possible to win that auction with a lower amount?
Thanks for this great service :)
