Hello: I am really angry, I missed a really nice auction because yesterday, eBay asked me to change my password (they said the account was compromised because I logged in from several places in little time). Today, I added a new snipe to Gixen, and I used the remembered credentials on my browser (which were the old ones). Well, it just logged in correctly and I entered the snipe. So, when the item ended, I have seen that Gixen said "Sign in information is not valid". I don't know how Gixen works internally, but wouldn't it be possible to check the credentials on eBay on every login? This way, I would have entered the correct credentials and I would have (most probably) won the item and would be very happy right now. Best regards, and anyway, thank you very much for creating Gixen! -Eduard (ereza_86).
If you have currently scheduled snipes they will all fail if you have changed your password with eBay since you scheduled them, so the first thing to do is log in to Gixen with your OLD password, take a note of all your snipes, then you might as well delete them.
Then log out from Gixen.
Now all you need to do is log into Gixen again with your NEW eBay password, and reschedule all your snipes.

I remember.. the sanctions imposed by eBay affected all Gixen users, not just the ones that had invalid credentials... so, unfortunately, it isn't possible for any sniping service to work the way suggested.

Ereza,
Unfortunately that's the way it used to be, and caused a lot of trouble with ebay, as the proportion of logins was much higher than it is common when users access ebay directly. I had no choice really.

Post subject: Testing if current password matches eBay's one
Hello:
I am really angry, I missed a really nice auction because yesterday, eBay asked me to change my password (they said the account was compromised because I logged in from several places in little time).
