As for as the JAVA Ruby thing, I was stating that i was able to find out the gixen application was written using JAVA with Ruby for comm. No question.

The API is implemented as https requests that you can make (and receive a response), see:
http://www.gixen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1359
you can write your application in any language that supports being able to make such requests.
When asking about what the application is written in do you mean the website, the server software or the Gixen Desktop?... Why does it interest you to know, it doesn't really matter does it (apart from the Gixen Desktop because that runs on your own computer)?

hello, I was wondering, if the gixen app is JAVA and ruby, what interface does the API provide? PHP?
If this cannot be provided, I would appreciate learning on how to know this.
