Mario sets up Posting Ids for this forum... If you are planning to continue posting regularly, you could mention that in your email too.
Actually Mario didn't say your idea was bad... I didn't either... what he said was that he was unwilling to discuss any arrangement that he already has with Keith, in public... which is a very different comment and quite understandable in my opinion.
If, as you say, the script is not functioning as you expect, it would be helpful if you could provide examples where it doesn't work, that way, maybe, it can be improved.
Asking Mario to pay for unspecified deficiencies (in your words a 'polite demand') isn't actually improving the situation for anyone.

I will send you mail, Mario. If you like, you can explain, why you don't think my suggestion is a good idea.
In almost the half of all cases (open an auction page) the userscript fails: no gixen link is offered.
I use always an actual firefox version.
Something else:
Is there any way to register for this forum?
I like to get a notification, when a new message arrives in this thread.

It seems to me that Keith already does an excellent job of maintaining the script when eBay introduce changes that affect its performance.
It also seems unreasonable to expect updates in less than a few days when Keith is maintaining a script that has to work across so many different eBay sites when eBay often seem to roll out changes to them over a period of some weeks and don't announce when they are going to do so.
It is not a matter of developing a stable version, that would imply that the sites it works with are not subject to constant change by eBay that require further updates to the script to reflect those changes. It is a matter of Keith having to keep up with with those changes as and when they occur and when he is told they have happened, he can't be expected to keep up with every site every day, that would be a chore no matter how well he were remunerated.
In summary I am saying it will never be possible to produce a version that will work forever without further maintenance just to keep the same functionality... which is what would generally be regarded as the definition of a 'stable' version.

Mario,
thanks for your answer.
I think you missunderstood my suggestion.
It was not about programming yourself, but paying Keith for the development.
As long as the script is a voluntary work (and that's not a critisism at Keith at all, he did a great job) there will be no hope for the users, that there will be a stable version.

Keith Hopkins is taking care of the autosnipe script, and I support his effort to a reasonable extent. I can't take over development of it as I neither have time or skills. He is working on a fix for the latest Firefox and Chrome release.

Post subject: Userscript "Autosnipe" fails often on Ebay page
The script

often fails.
I would love it, when you Mario, would take over the responsibility of the script.
The option to add an auction easily to Gixen is an essential feature for a commercial service.
Please think about it. Thank you.
Please take my suggestion as a polite demand :)
