I'm not quite following you now Harry, what about the one you mention in the first post:
(My Max was $ 85.77), and the winning bis was $ 26.00
That isn't item 300785901233 because that ended with no bids at 1 Euro. It isn't 271069869012 either as that ended at US $41.00 with 5 bids. It isn't the one with a starting bid of $49.95 either. I think we are getting mixed up with too many different auctions on which different actions happened, which then affected the cancellation of other auctions. It is going to be difficult to figure out what happened and whether anything can be improved on Gixen without the whole story, I'm afraid. That said I think you are correct that you are now back in a position that works, you have said as much because Gixen successfully placed a bid for you and won on your test auction. Any testing of your password with eBay could only be done by Mario as he is the only one with access to your credentials (and you definitely don't want to be posting those here on an open forum)... but even if he did that it isn't really going to prove anything either way, is it, whether it works or not with both sites now? ... and almost definitely it works with both now, because you have already shown that it does with your test, but it doesn't explain why auctions that you had scheduled to snipe were cancelled when you used the same password... To find out what caused that we need to get back to the auction that caused the cancellations in the first place... if that isn't possible for you I think we will have to leave it until something similar happens to someone else... it is very unlikely ever to happen to you again. In your last post you appear to be introducing further unrelated issues... snipes that you delete and then reappear?... That would be unique, can you provide an example of that?
Unfortunately as with the first bid I can no longer get you the items numbers. I can only explain that on item # 1 the starting price was $49.95, and the buy it now price was 99.95. I wanted to bid the starting price (in case no one else bid on it), but was told"Sign in information is not valid", and the bid was not entered. On the item below it same situation as # 1 bid only it said "cancelled-Sign in not valid" before that bid ended. I then deleted the items completely, and just accepted what had transpired as a fluke, and didn't inquire further. I do believe that by retyping the EBAY Password again back into Gixen has somehow cleared my problems up. I will be doing similar bids in the next few days to verify that Gixen is working properly for me again. Harry
OK,
Well it has been an interesting discussion none the less... I think we know what happened, and I think it will work just fine for you from now on... If by some chance it doesn't please come back and explain to us again... I'm sure we can figure it all out... eventually :-)
It has been nice talking to you Harry.

Post subject: Bid not accepted

Hi Harry,
Only Mario has access to the password that you provide to Gixen for use with eBay... if, as you say, Gixen managed to place a bid for you this morning I would assume that all is now well.
What I think is most likely (since eBay was having problems allowing people to log in this morning) is that the items that failed/were cancelled was because of a log in failure that Gixen had with your first auction (caused by issues at eBay) and that Gixen interpreted it as a refusal to accept your password by eBay (which in a sense it was). As a precaution Gixen then cancels all further snipes on your account to prevent further attempts to log into your account with the wrong password, which could on some occasions cause eBay to take action against your account, automatically suspending it until you verify that your account is not under attack, which can be a pain to sort out.
Hopefully this won't happen again... it is a very rare occurrence, so very hard to test... it may be possible, if Mario has a log of the page that came up when Gixen attempted to log in to eBay for Gixen to be changed to recognise that page better and not need to respond by cancelling snipes in this case... As I recall the page I was getting was related to a page not responding and to try again later, rather than a message that my credentials were not acceptable... at the moment I would think Gixen interprets both the same.
I don't think we have the auction number of the first to trigger the cancellations, do we?... Just the ones that were cancelled as a result? Would it be possible for you provide the details of the first that had the log in failure, that seems to be the one that really caused the whole issue.
Unfortunately on the first two items # 1 Was a starting bid of $49.95, with a Buy it Now for $99.95. My bid was only to cover the starting bid of $49.95 which had no bids at all on it, thus closing that auction. # 2 After seeing it cancelled I deleted that item only to find it back on Gixen the following day in which I cancelled it again, so I can;t find any item numbers to give you. However, I do feel that by retyping the EBAY Password back into Gixen, it rebooted my gixen account back to working
order. I still wish, when you get the time you would try to use that password (in Gixen) to verify that it works Harry

Post subject: Bidding cancelled
["Cupid"]eBay is now allowing me to log in from my home computer once again so whatever problems they were having this morning seem to be getting fixed, at least.
I myself had a brain fart early this morning, and did the following. First I verified my EBAY password, and it was correct. Then I went to Gixen, and retyped the same password I used on my EBAY account, and of course as you've said got into Gixen. Then I tried the ultimate test. I found a low priced item on EBAY and placed a bid for it on Gixen. Went back to bed, and awoke to find that Gixen did make my bid, and I won the item. So it looks like everything maybe back to normal. I would ask a favor for the sake of his Support blog, and ask you to use my retyped password in EBAY(and Gixen), and see if it responds as it should. Thanks for your efforts Harry

Hi Harry,
eBay is refusing to log me in at the moment, this could be related to your issue if eBay is also refusing to allow Gixen to log in for you.
You can usually still log into Gixen even after you change your eBay password because Gixen keeps an encrypted version of your password and initially checks against that... only if that fails does it check with eBay to see if you have changed your password.
In summary Gixen only fully checks your password when you present a new one to it.

If yes, you have to re-schedule all your snipes under the new password.[/
No my password has not been changed in over 1 year. Items # 300785901253, and 271069869012 Harry
Also if my password had been changed, why was I allowed into Gixen to do any bidding in the first place. Harry

Post subject: Why were my bids cancelled
Items 300785901233, and 271069869012 These items were cancelled due to Sign in not valid. I had to sign in to place those items on your status "Scheduled" bidding, and had properly done so. but as I watched the first bid
be awarded to someone else with lesser monies (My Max was $ 85.77), and the winning bis was $ 26.00. After watching that I gave up using your service, and bid the second item manually. What's going on with you Sniper setup, it's failed me twice. Harry
