It wasn't Gixen that let you down, it was a bid that was too small.

Just had the same myself. I put a snipe of ÂGBP 45.75 on. I lost and the item ended at ÂGBP 45?
I don't get it? Gixen hasn't let me down before.

This may be another instance where a larger offset would have helped.
That would most likely have, at least, resulted in the eventual winner having to pay more than they did.

According to the
bidding history
, the winning bid was accepted by eBay at 10:31:58AM, 6 seconds before the auction closed at 10:32:04AM.
What status did Gixen report for your bid? Was it BID UNDER ASKING PRICE? If so, that means that the winning bid arrived at eBay before your bid.
What offset did you use for Gixen to place your bid? Remember that there can often be a delay of 1 to 2 seconds between the time Gixen places your bid and the time it arrives at eBay.
