Item 163231754456 ran its full course and no snipe bids were placed, was the price higher than your snipe amount at the end of the auction, Gixen can't place any bid in those circumstances. 8:46:01AM PDT was just the time that the winning bid was placed. What was the status Gixen gave this snipe after completion ? Item 253841013133 the winning bidder might have placed their bid at the same time as yours, but it was higher, they were therefore going to win whenever that higher bid was placed the timing wasn't significant. John has provided the best advice regarding researching what is the best offset for you, it's been discussed many many times on this forum.
You can do a search for "offset" on this forum and find lots of discussion on this topic. In fact,
this recently revived thread
discusses it in great detail.
In the end, the best way to win more items is by bidding higher. There is no way around that.

I didn't know you could check on Gixen reports after auction is over? How do you do that? Thanks!

What was the status reported by gixen for your main and mirror bids? Did gixen report ENDED for both bids?
I could be wrong but it looks like the seller ended the auction early. It was supposed to end at 9:40:29AM PDT but it appears the seller closed the bidding at 8:46:01AM PDT

Post subject: I don't win bids on item 163231754456 on ebay
I had a 8 secon offset and mirror of 6 sec. I was outbid why? Is it because I have the wrong seconds set? I didn't see my bad amongst the 35 bids. Anyone have any feedback on this ordeal please.
