Yes, some years ago now, Gixen accounts were separated from Ebay and have their own independent passwords. It's not recommended that you have them the same on Ebay and Gixen and since that change Gixen has not required any knowledge of your Ebay password. As you've gathered what replaced it was the authorisation that you grant for Gixen to be able to place bids on your Ebay account. That does get revoked when you change your credentials on Ebay, but since you've since renewed it that will solve that issue and you are all set.
Post subject: Info about passwords
I can't find how passwords are used.
I can't remember, I've been a user for years.
I think the gixen pw used to have to be the same as the ebay one?
That changed??
Is that now the case?
I've changed my ebay password, .
I can still log in to Gixen with the old (was ebay) password.
Is that right, ie Gixen doesn't need my ebay pw?
I've just re-linked the accounts.
