Kai,
A Beta version was implemented, see the announcement here:
http://www.gixen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1930
... please comment on extending its features there (once you have tried it), if you would like that, just so that we can keep it all in one place. |

I would like to bring this thread up again.
I am also badly missing a bid history which should be accessible for at least a month after the auction has ended.
If this would be implemented in form of an "end of auction notification" email the system should accumulate the data for a week before sending the notification in order to avoid an overload of messages in the postbox.
thanks a million for considering this for the future

So are the unsuccessful ones if you put them into your watch list on eBay. |

I guess that end of auction notifications would help.
Here's another idea: only retain bid history (for 1-4 weeks) for unsuccesful bids -- since the successful bids are shown on eBay. |

I'll just throw my two cents in here: Keeping a bid history is a task that should be done on the client side. There is nothing time-critical about it and therefore no reason for it to take up server resources.
I keep hoping someone more expert than I can set up JBidWatcher to use the Gixen API so that we can enter snipes using the JBidWatcher interface; then, JBidWatcher can take care of maintaining the bid histories (which it does very well). |

I will see what I can do - end of auction notifications seem like one way for users to retain this information, and not overload my database server. Would this work for you? |

I would like for my completed bids to be visible for a longer period of time -- at least one week, if not 30 days. This will give me more time to record information about the items that I don't win. Thanks. Chuck |
