yuzr, I do see your point, its a matter of language, however I think that the area looks like a button, in fact it is a button, hence it is an invitation to push the button in order to perform the action that is written on it. If it looked like a message about something that had happened then I would agree with you whole heartedly, but it doesn't to me.
Think more.
A purge was completed? Why did a purge start?

Not a question raised by me.
Synonymous ambiguity does not serve.
(A purge has ended? Why did it start?))

I think <Purge Completed> is pretty unambiguous. All one has to do is understand that "completed" means "ended" and now that it has been pointed out, "ended" includes "canceled" (which applies to the whole group). In the end, the question of whether to use "completed", "ended", "finished" or "done" is a matter of taste. I like "completed". :D

A purge was completed?
I did not take any action to purge anything.
List looks same (that's good).
A purge of what was completed?
Now that I have spent the time digging through forum messages
in order to figure it out, and know the different meaning,
I suggest that the button be worded unambiguously.
Something such as
Purge Ended Auctions
or
Purge this group

Hi Mario,
Did this feature get modified / included?
I've just tried using 'Purge Completed' and the snipes tagged as 'CANCELED' (due to another snipe in their group winning an auction) don't appear to be removed from view.
Cheers,
Steve

You're right Steve, I'll see that those are deleted too with "purge completed".

Post subject: Purge Completed - should it remove cancelled auctions too?
Hi,
Using the Group function is great. I can setup a dozen or so snipes and as soon as one snipe wins the auction the remaining grouped snipes are set to "Cancelled" as I have no further interest in them.
Would it be not therefore be a good idea that the "Purge Completed" button also removed these "Cancelled" group auctions from my list of snipes, in the same way as it does for finished auctions?
As it stands I have to manually delete all my "Cancelled" group auctions...
Thanks,
Steve
