This question has most likely been covered somewhere else on these boards, but I can't find a 100% clear answer. Perhaps I'm not looking hard enough, though. Would someone mind explaining the difference between Contingency Groups and Regular Groups? What is the best way to utilize both? Thanks! :D
Normal/Regular groups cancel the rest of the group when the first is won, they are used when there are many similar items and you only wish to win one.
Contingency groups cancel the rest of the group when the first item is lost, they are used for collections of related things that you wish to win, like a car and the wire wheels (no point in bidding on the wheels if you dont win the car), or when you wish to take advantage of postal discounts and only bid on later auctions if the postage will be cheap as a result of winning an earlier one.
