If there are no other bids you will pay the starting price, this is not to do with Gixen, that is how eBay works.

If there are no bids on an item, and I snipe it at the last moment, what will I pay? Is it the starting price, an increment above my starting price, or would I end up paying my whole maximum, since this was the bid I put down. Confused as to how this works ...
