If you entered a snipe in Gixen, it will be executed properly, as once in Gixen it has nothing to do with browser any more.
What browser are you using? Can you make sure that your system time is accurate? Also, can you try to log in through an alternative browser (IE, Mozilla, Chrome)?

Post subject: cookies
Upon selecting Gixen website, a message appears that cookies are disabled on this computer. Not so, but I went ahead and enabled cookies specifically for Gixen.com. This message continues to appear, but I went ahead and entered snipe bid, which seems to have been taken and stored, and visible upon re-log in. Is the bid likely to be executed properly?
Also, the website seems to have lost the proper eBay password which it has automatically entered in the past.
