tkle18,
This does happen from time to time... network requests time out, servers don't respond. This is why the main service has stated 99.5% reliability. I hope you can find a similar item again.

MusicalMan,
True (for main), but this was not case with mirror - mirror was not able to submit your bid as your bid was too low. Otherwise, it would have placed it.
Even though your was higher than the current high bid, it was not high enough to satisfy ebay's minimum bid increment rule.
P.S. Found your item based on time, but next time please post the item id. |

It looks like yesterday around 7pm PDT there was a number of timeouts from the main server. At this point it looks like they were caused by the main server ISP, as I don't see the same on mirror. Sorry about that, this can and does happen every once in a while. |

That means that eBay was too slow to respond when Gixen tried to log in to place the snipe for you.
It happens occasionally, fortunately not too often. This is mitigated if the snipe is mirrored as it is much more unlikely that two servers in different locations will experience the same problems with eBay at the same moment. |

I would have won the auction except my snipe got EBAY ERROR: LOGIN TIMEOUT (1). What does this mean? |
