Post subject: Doesn't Work
I have experienced a similar problem, but as Mario says for some reason Ebay had lost my link. I followed advice, recreated it and hey presto all was fine again.
It amazes me how people heavily citicise Gixen the moment it they lose an auction when it most cases Gixen has performed correctly.
I have yet to have a problem with the service and Mario has always been brilliant in his back up and patience with people.
Find me another service that offers all this help for a measly $6 and I'd be amazed.
A BIG THANKS Mario

brober29, Gixen does not do anything different than what you would do through your browser, in fact Gixen "imitates" a browser. It cannot just come up with this response on its own, this means that it recognized the page returned, and since the text on this page is quite specific, it's virtually impossible that there was an error made by Gixen here.
The fact that you won a different auction only means that that auction did not have paypal as a requirement.

I can assure you it isn't Gixen, it is the configuration of your eBay account.
Just because you can use Paypal to pay for items on eBay does not mean that your account is linked or that eBay is recognising that link when you bid.
You need to do what Mario suggests it is under the Account tab on eBay.

brober29, go through the process of re-linking your ebay and paypal accounts. Your ebay page may say they are already linked, but go through it anyway - this is a known ebay issue that accounts get unlinked for no apparent reason.

It is not just a matter of having a Paypal account it has to be linked to your eBay account, on eBay.
Sometimes eBay loses that connection and you have to set it up again, this is a known issue with eBay.
The status you received is as a result of eBay refusing your bid for the reason stated and is not a failure of Gixen, you would have had the same result if you had tried to bid manually.
The problem occurs only for auctions where the seller has specifically specified that you must have a Paypal account, and your Paypal account is not linked to your eBay account... that, in itself, is quite a rare occurance.

Bid on an item and it said I didn't have a PayPal account. I obviously have a PayPal account as I buy and sell regularly on Ebay. Lost a bid on a very important item for no reason. Bottom line, this service does not work....avoid!!!!!!!!!!
