They may have bid much more than you... The way that eBay works the winning bidder only has to pay a maximum of one bid increment more than the next highest bidder.
If this keeps happening then you have to accept that there are too many people out there prepared to pay more than you that are backing that up with their bidding.

Post subject: Why do I keep losing bids?
I am wondering why I keep losing bids with the winning bid being one increment higher. It keeps happening, so I am thinking that the other bidders are using a different service that just goes one bid increment above? Or do they just have a much higher limit for the item? Thank you.
