I have finally encountered the dreaded ebay Captcha verification screen and am attempting to complete the verification through the Gixen socks proxy. I have followed the instructions provided to configure the proxy and have been able to verify that I am connected on the instructions page. However, when I attempt to bring up ebay, I am getting an "unable to connect to page" error. I can connect to ebay without using the proxy, and can login (after doing the captcha), however clearing the cache and cookies and re-enabling the proxy results in the "cannot connect" error every time. I have changed my password (as instructed) and cleared cookies (multiple times), but still cannot get the socks proxy to work.
