My take on this has always been, and remains, if you want that option you are not currently entering snipes at the true maximum you are prepared to pay. |

| An interesting option for automatic bidding would be - in auctions where one is outbid by less than the bid increment, another automatic bid is placed, to give a second chance of winning the auction.
I have lost a few auctions by less than the bid increment and would have chosen the option of having a 2nd bid placed to win the auction. An example of this option is for an item where my maximum (automatic) bid is $10. If it becomes the 2nd highest bid and the current price is between $10 and $10.49, another automatic bid is placed for the bid increment amount over the current price. |
