'Sniping' is the action of placing the bid at the last minute, so that others can't react to it, that is the primary purpose of this site.

Your bid is placed just a few seconds before the auction is scheduled to end, the offset is the number of seconds before the end that Gixen should try to place your bid.

This has the added advantage that you can easily change your mind, right up to the last few minutes of the auction and delete your snipe or alter the amount you are willing to bid. Don't leave that later than 2 minutes before the auction end though, because Gixen does need time to schedule your bid before it is placed.

When entering and setting up the eBay item number, offset numbers etc and click submit, will gixen sniping start bidding immediately or does it wait till close to the end of bidding time?
