Which is why it is often the sniper that bids earlier (by setting a larger offset) that wins the auction, not the one that bids last. |

TS,
Quite the opposite. Your bid is the last one, as you are the one sniping. Hence bid increment rule works against you. |

I Gixened this:- 270658857811 at $15.57 as I wasn't that enthusiastic about it and I didn't think anyone else would be either.
The winning bid was $15.53. Now there was a link explaining bid increments as being why I lost it but it doesn't seem to make sense.
Surely as my bid was $15.57 the winning bid should be $16.07. If he only bid
$15.53 then I should have won. |
