As Mario says... using Mirror is the best way for you to improve your chances against being affected by this type of failure.
That is why Mirror was developed. |

malrandall, at this time of year timeouts are more frequent, probably due to ebay servers being very busy. Gixen has plenty of capacity. Aside from using Gixen mirror, there is nothing you can do about this. Timeouts and failures do happen. |

It means that when Gixen tried to log into your account in order to place the bid it never got a response from eBay to indicate that you had successfuly logged in or that the credentials were not correct.
It happens occasionally I find even when trying to log on to the eBay site to do some searching, though I have never had Gixen fail to log in to my eBay account.
There isn't anything, in particular, that you can do to precent this, thankfully it is very rare... but if it does happen more than once for your account then it may need looking into to see if there is something special about your particular account that is causing this to happen more often than is usual.
Is malrandall the eBay id that you had this failure for? |

Hi, i'm a newbie here, and just failed to win a bid, with my account screen showing the meassage "EBAY ERROR: LOGIN TIMEOUT (1)".
Have searched the forum and far too many returns to get a quick answer.
Can someone please decode this message for me and explain the meaning (and more importantly how I fix it for next time!)? |
