If someone else has already entered a bid that is higher than your maximum but the auction price is at least one bid incremant less than your bid then Gixen will give you an Outbid status and you will not win the auction.

The high bidder/winner will have to pay up to one bid incremant more than your maximum bid.

If the auction price is already above your maximum bid (or even within one bid increment below your bid) then Gixen will not be able to place your bid as eBay will reject it, then Gixen will give you a 'Bid Under Asking Price' status.
