I watch items right to the end and I have seen bids cancelled only a few times in all the tens of thousands of auctions I have been interested in... and never has it resulted in an auction going for less than I was prepared to pay because I cancelled the snipe.

It is a fair point you make, I just prefer the snipes page more tidy... but maybe we are a minority in that... perhaps I have a touch of OCD :(

I know it's rare, but what if seller (or eBay) cancels a few high bids so you can still have a chance to win?

Cupid, yes, that's what I meant.

But it's certainly not a big deal.

Love, love, love Gixen!!!

I think I am interpreting what hrh.princess meant in a different way from you, and I may be wrong in that.

I see this as useful to get rid of the auctions from my snipes page that are still running but are now above the price that I am willing to pay. I often go through my current snipes and delete these in sequence, it is cosmetic really I like my snipes page only to reflect the things I expect Gixen to take some action on.

I have no great priority for it though, I'm quite happy doing it manually.

Why would you purge only outbid auctions, and not all completed auctions?

Yes, I would use a button with that function.

When you (or in this case, me) bid on a lot of items, it would be handy to have a "purge outbid" button.

If I'm the only one interested, it's silly. Are there others who would benefit from this?
