mohdmustafa, what do you do *before* you experience delete-not-working? That will help me replicate the problem.

What browser are you using? I got quite a few reports of this, and I really wish I could replicate the problem. I couldn't so far.

Hmm, good question, I think it was around this time yesterday, perhaps an hour or so later.

If I note it again I'll report back immediately so that you have a better timing.

Mark, the servers seemed more than fine yesterday, load average seemed to be quite low. Do you remember the approximate time when this happened?

I did find 'Delete' on the web interface to be very slow a few times yesterday, it did do the update eventually but on one occasion I had to wait more than a minute for it to do so, on another I had kiled the window before it happened and the update never did take place I had to perform the Delete on that item when I logged in again... it was like the web server was having trouble processing the requests that it was receiving and taking a very long time to do so...

I'm sure it is not this but I once had similar behaviour when there was an issue with the pooling of database connections and my web server was having trouble obtaining a connection from the pool as a result.

mohdmustafa,

Can you type "chrome://extensions/" in your address bar and let me know what you get?

It says no extensions installed.

Probably - if you figure out which one, please let me know, so that I know to tell other customers who may have the same problem.

Mario,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I've disabled all the addons & extensions (except Java). I've made sure Java is enabled & pop up blocker is off. All this is in firefox 5, but it still doesn't work in IE, strange cause it's the same on 3 PC,s one of which is running XP??

Thanks,

Richard.

Richard, I just tested it with the latest Firefox version (5), and delete works fine. It has to be something to do with the add-ons. Also make sure that javascript is enabled, this is mandatory.

Richard, if this is the case, it's a big deal, and I want to fix it, so please help me find the cause. Do you use any browser add-ons? I am surprised that Firefox 4 makes problems.

You can email me if you need anything urgently deleted.

Been using Gixen for years with no probs.

I have the same problem, I need to cancel bids but it won't alow me to edit or delete. Tried it in XP with IE6 Firefox 4 & Win 7+ The desktop utility comes up with errors. I really need to cancel some bids, only way is to change my eBay password?

Thanks,

Richard.

First time I hear this, but it sounds like you have Javascript disabled... but since the same happens on two browsers, I suspect it's some popup blocker that you installed.

If you can't resolve this, try Gixen Desktop Manager.

Hi,
On my active auctions if I want to edit the price or delete it does not let me. Basically, nothing happens when I click the buttons. But on some of the auctions that ended it does let me click the buttons. I tried this both in chrome and Firefox and have the same problem. Please help. Thanks
