b_morose, please email me. This seems to be one of rare cases when both snipes timed out for no apparent reasons. |

This is the first problem I have had with Gixen.
Item number: 200817962824.
Auction was due to close on 20 Sep, 2012 at 18:36:54 BST. I left my snipe about 8 hours earlier.
The winning bid (which was lower than mine by half-a-dozen increments) went in at 18:36:47. I had specified the default six-seconds-before-the-end time for submission of the bid. I do not appear in the list of bidders.
Gixen Main says: "NETWORK ERROR (1)".
Gixen Mirror says: "AUCTION ENDED EARLY".
Ebay says auction ended at 18:36:54 BST, the due time.

Logging in to ebay was extremely slow in the last hour or so (since 6pm PDT), causing login timeouts on all Gixen servers. This caused snipes to fail, and in most instances mirror did not help with this.
It seems that, whatever it was, the problem is resolved as of 15 minutes ago or so. |
