The answer is here on the forum somewhere, you are not the first to ask, so there is no need to feel the answer is obvious to everyone else.
Gixen will place exactly the bid you ask it to however Ebay only makes you pay, at most, one bid increment more than the next highest bidder, so, though you should be prepared to pay up to the amount of your snipe, if bids from other Ebay users do not support that price you won't have to pay it. |

|
Hi there everyone.
I just started using Gixen today and am a little confused over just one thing. If I use Gixen to place a maximum bid of, say, GBP 100 on an item that has a current maximum bid of GBP 50, if by the last few seconds of the auction the current maximum bid of GBP 50 has stayed the same will Gixen place a GBP 100 bid on the item? Or will it just place a bid incrementally higher (say GBP 3) than the current max bid of GBP 50 to make my bid GBP 53?
Been racking my brains over this all day, can't seem to find an answer online anywhere.
Thanks. |
