As I said, it makes no difference to Gixen what IP address you use to enter your bids, and it makes no difference to how they are submitted to Ebay either.

So I don't see any reason for you to re-enter any snipes you have already submitted.

I would just not recommend changing the IP address from which you log into Ebay direct, too often or too radically, because that may trigger Ebay to take some action against your account, at some stage.

Perhaps I should reenter my Gixen bids and leave my IP address changes alone until those auctions are over. Thanks.

Gixen isn't bothered where you log in from... it uses its own servers and hence its own IP addresses in order to place the bids... where you may have entered them from makes no difference to the operation of placing the bids on Ebay.

However, it does appear that Ebay may be tracking which IP addresses you log in from... and if you appear to be moving around more than they are comfortable with that may cause them to seek further verification on your account... which in turn prevents an automated service like Gixen from being able to place bids for you.

If I change my IP config address frequently as recommended by many for security reasons, will this cause ebay or Gixen to no longer recognize my address or will not place any bids? Will this cause Gixen to have any conflicts when trying to communicate with Ebay using my account as the old IP address is no longer active or relevant?
