You put identical (or similar) items in a bid group when you want to win only ONE of them.

To further expand on juangrandes response which is detailed and accurate. The sentances that I have quoted above mean that it is not safe to put items in the same group that end within 2 minutes of each other. If you did, in this case, gixen might end up bidding on the later item even if you do win the first. Hence you could end up winning more than one item in the group which as explained above is not the point of group bidding.

The reason for this is that gixen is committed to bidding on an item 2 minutes before the end of the auction so the process that would normally cancel the bid on winning an auction does not have enough time to cancel the second bid if it is less than 2 minutes away.

It is for exactly the same reason that it is not possible to Cancel or Edit bids/snipes, via the website, within 2 minutes of the auction end, such updates will probably not be taken into account.

I am a bit confused from this phrase:

Quote:
Warning: Bids you want to exclude each other should be in the same group. Do not group items within 2 minutes of each other. You may win them all.

Does this mean, that if I put 4 auctions in GROUP 1, if I win the first one, it won't bid on the rest? Or, do I have to put all 4 auctions in different groups?
