Are you sure you are logging in with the same Gixen username you already logged in with to the web interface?

That error typically happens when you are logging in with an old, eBay username instead of Gixen username.

Please can you post the exact message that you are getting when trying to run the Desktop Application.

Please also ensure that you have unpacked all the items in the zip file that you downloaded into the same directory and that you have write access to the working directory that the application is using, usually that is the same one that you have installed it in.

Gixen is a service, that means that the main function of placing the bids in the last few seconds is performed by the Gixen servers. So, yes, once your snipes are set up you can turn off your computer entirely if you wish, it makes no difference.

I'm a new user, and have already successfully completed an auction using Gixen Mirror. However, I downloaded the desktop application, and when I attempt to open it an error shows up having to do with the country code and another one about API. I tried logging in using the dropdown on the desktop app and same error codes appear.

Second question. If I log out of Gixen, either the website where I set up my bids (or on the Desktop App if I can get it to work), will it still place the bid for me even though I have logged out?
