Gixen is so good, this is the first time someone OUTBID me..

Wow, this is my first time that one of my auctions through Gixen has come back as OUTBID. I take it that means that the winning bidder was actually using the proxy system rationally and submitted their true maximum. Then when my Gixen snipe went through, the eBay proxy system took over and topped my bid.

This may seem straightforward enough, but the fact that I've already won about 10 or so auctions before seeing OUTBID shows how well Gixen is working. All the other times I've won, other bidder has been sitting there with the winning bid, thinking how well they are doing and how cheaply they are getting the item. Because I didn't outbid them straight away, they didn't have a chance to realise the inadequacy of their apparent maximum bid and bid again. Go Gixen!

(Of course, I've had a lot of BID UNDER ASKING PRICE results as well)
