forgot password, link just keeps repeating

i forgot password as I changed computers. It was saved on old one. I click on forgot password and it sends me the link. I click on the link and it sends me a similar link to log in. I paste that and it does the same again. I am a regular user. i could not see any other way to proceed except 'forgot password' being repeated. Thanks
