eBay item 325969387685 closed far below my bid amount. My bid was not submitted by Gixen and I got the message \"Too many requests.\" for the reason why the bid did not go through.
What does this mean and is it a common issue now. The item I missed out on was quite rare (only 5 copies exist) and likely will not have a second opportunity to get one. |

I've been losing auctions despite bidding considerably more than the closing bid - see for example ebay number 335210666063
i've been getting a \"too many requests\" message for all my bids today
Can this be fixed? |

I contacted eBay about this, the problem lasted for about 3 hours last night. It may take them a few days to respond however.
At the moment, I see nothing of a kind again, things seem to be back to normal.

| Same here, item 315091157271. A quick search shows that this has happened before and is a problem with the gixen servers contacting eBays. Hopefully it gets resolved soon. |

My recollection, here, was that it was due to Ebay not understanding/underestimating the capacity of Gixen servers to provide bidding opportunities to its' customers and therefore setting a limit too low without adequate consultation with Mario.
It's unlikely that such a misunderstanding would reoccur, in the same way. I don't however discount the possibility of Ebay getting something wrong, they demonstrate their ability to do that on a very regular basis.

I got the \"too many requests\" problem on item 156545739007
It happened on some others, but that's the only item number I have handy.
