Here is the thing.

1) I have been blocked by some weird HK seller on eBay for some undisclosed weird reason I am not aware of.

2) I have a 2nd account on eBay. Would like to circumvent the blocking by using that account to keep purchasing from the HK seller from time to time (only when some truly remarkable item pops up) since I HAVE ALWAYS USED THAT ACCOUNT SPARRINGLY & w/ different HW, SW, internet infrastructure BUT same geolocation. For eBay's technicians, who are actually in charge of enforcing the blocking, it is just a different user, but living in the same area. Nobody who should be blocked for any reason.

3) It worked recently with a proof-of-concept purchase, even if I know from previous attempts that it might take a few weeks for eBay to realise what is going on and block me again. Hopefully I was smart enough and that won't happen.

4) Would like to snipe w/ that 2nd account & not have to be online by an auction's end.

5) I guess that Gixen assigns an \"internal\" unique identifier (UID) to each Gixen user, which ONLY EXISTS WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF GIXEN, IS COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO EBAY, & allows to uniquely identify the user within the context of Gixen (be it a username, some numeric value, or both). When sniping on our behalf, independently of the eBay account linked to a Gixen account at any given time, Gixen knows that if the internal UID is the same, it is bidding for the same person, which is paramount for many reasons such as keeping Security or Accountability.

6) I also guess that Gixen uses (& keeps) an \"external\" unique identifier (UID) for each Gixen user, which ONLY EXISTS WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF EBAY, IS COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO GIXEN, & which allows to uniquely identify the user within the context of eBay (be it a username, some numeric value, or both). When sniping on our behalf, this identifier allows Gixen to place the bids for the right eBay user.

7) FINALLY, MY PROBLEM: I am worried that, in the course of its interactions w/ ebay to perform the sniping service, Gixen might provide (or be forced to provide) eBay, somehow & somewhy, not only w/ the external UID but also w/ the internal one. Should that be the case, eBay could determine very easily that snipes apparently coming from 2 different eBay accounts (such as would be my case) would actually be linked to the same eBay user, which in turn would lead to the blocking of my 2nd account.

8 ) WHAT I NEED TO KNOW: from the very people in charge of Gixen & fully aware of its internal intricacies, I'd need clear confirmation that WHEN BIDDING ON BEHALF OF US USERS, GIXEN ONLY PROVIDES EBAY W/ THE EBAY USER UID, AND NO OTHER ID DATA, SO THAT EBAY CANNOT KNOW AT ANY TIME THAT 2 DIFFERENT EBAY USERS MIGHT BE LINKED TO THE SAME ACTUAL PERSON.

I await word from you, guys.
Even if I expect answers coming from Gixen staff, thanks a lot for any insight anyone can provide on this issue.
Best regards.

What Gixen uses to place your bids is the authorisation that you provide via the second section of the Settings page. I guess that's what you are calling

an external unique identifier
?

Gixen also requires you to have an id, which is what you use to log in here, using the 'Username' text input box. I guess that's what you are calling

an internal unique identifier
? Ebay has no interest in that id, only that the authorisation that they issue is kept secure, which this Gixen mechanism provides for.

Obviously, the authorisation is associated with an Ebay id on their side, so if there's any link between those accounts on their side (e.g. accessed via the same IP address, having the same shipping address, etc. etc.) then Ebay can link those accounts. Indeed if it's information that's provided to a seller (like shipping address after you pay for items), then even a seller can do that and decide to block accounts that they, independently, associate with each other.

That said, my experience with using different Ebay accounts for sniping via Gixen, has been that seller blocks are not transferred between accounts, either by Ebay or by the sellers themselves.

So, in conclusion, I don't think it is necessary to use a different Gixen account for these different Ebay ids. However, for your convenience, if you want to keep things simple on the Gixen side you might want to consider setting up a separate Gixen account to handle those bids.
