|
|
Hi, I got an \"INVALID AUTHORIZATION\" error on a recent eBay.co.uk snipe.
I'm not sure if this is the issue but I have my eBay.com US account linked to 2 gixen accounts - one is for sniping on eBay.com and one for sniping on eBay.co.uk.
I noticed that there is only one 3rd party authorisation from gixen on my account - could it be that the error is from attempting to link my eBay account to 2 different eBay countries' sites?
Is it perhaps better to make another eBay account and set the primary address to one in the UK?
Thanks |

Yes, as you say, Ebay only holds one authorisation per partner on each Ebay id.
So, linking the same Ebay id to two different Gixen accounts isn't ever going to work. When you authorise the Ebay id a second time, on the second Gixen account, it will invalidate/overwrite the authorisation that you had for the first on the Ebay side of things and therefore that first one will stop working, as you've discovered.
Yes, the only way around that is to use separate Ebay ids for each Gixen account.
You can generally use one Ebay id to snipe on auctions that are listed via different Ebay sites, because Ebay auctions are global, as are Eday ids. However, if you want to have different delivery addresses it is recommended that you use different Ebay ids and therefore different Gixen accounts for these. Otherwise you constantly have to remember to change your delivery address on the single Ebay id before each snipe that it corresponds to executes. _________________ Mark |

Thanks, that makes sense.
I have 3 gixen accounts, each with their own eBay ID. I would like to support the developer and use Gixen Mirror service but it's a bit too pricey for me to use it on all 3 accounts. Is there a discounted pricing across multiple accounts? I probably these 3 accounts interchangeably 2-3 times a week. |

I suspect the costs of implementing and maintaining a discount scheme for multiple accounts would probably outweigh the extra income that it might generate, and that's the reason it hasn't and probably won't happen, rather than any attempted gouging going on. _________________ Mark |
