| If I make a bid will gixen tell me if the item has a reserve or if my bid is below reserve when I first register my bid or will it wait till bidding is over then tell me I did not meet reserve |

If an auction has a reserve there is no way to tell what it is until a bid has been accepted that is at or above that reserve, so no sniping site could do what you suggest.
To answer your question directly, no, you will not necessarily know that your bid is below the reserve price until the auction is finished.
