Hello and Happy Easter weekend to you Mario!

I am new to this sniper tool, although I used Gavel thief in the past. I subscribed to the Mirror and have the desktop configured.I just wanted to clarify some specifics Re: this sniper
tool...If I set an offset time of 8 seconds I will be outbidding my competition by the required increments when there is 8 seconds left(sniping) correct? My max Bid will also be registered as soon as there is 8 seconds left as well? Obv these bids dont show on the ebay page as I'm bidding via a proxy server right?

I'm doing a mock auction now for an ocz solid state hard drive Item #250807087662 which I dont intend to win. I tried editing the max bid and after the amount was changed and the function keys greyed out, it took 8 seconds for things to refresh. Now is this the actual serving time I have to wait until my new Max bid is registered, or is this the interface refresh lag and my modified max bid is registered and recognized immediately but my Gixen interface takes some time to return to normal?

If the former, is there any way to decrease the lag time, or is this set via proxy speed and My current IP connection speed etc?

Thanks for your support and congratulations to a very helpful and useful sniper tool. Very Happy

Yes, an offset of 8 seconds means that your bid will be placed 8 seconds before the auction is due to end.

Gixen registers your maximum bid with eBay at that time (there is no proxy server involved at any stage and, to be honest, I am not sure what you understand by that), whether you have won and, if so, the amount that you actually have to pay is worked out by eBay when the auction finishes... Gixen retreives that information for you to see here and/or in the desktop application.

Using the desktop to enter snipes and get up to date prices you can configure the refresh interval for it to get the current auction prices, but in any case this does not affect how fast your snipes or changes get to the Gixen servers, they will not be instantaneus, since the request has to go over the internet, but normally it would take less than a second.

You should be aware though that changes made in the last few minutes of the auction are not advisable and may cause your snipes to fail.
