Item description is not fetched or saved by Gixen at any point, as it is not needed for sniping at all. |

eBay prevents sellers from changing descriptions, titles or postage options after a bid has been made.
I think it is only possible to add to the end of the description. _________________ Mark |

Yes. so am I (confused) the OP thought the auction description had been changed and asked if there was a record of what it was when the auction ended.
I pointed out that it could not have changed since then because eBay does not allow it (there were bids on this item and anyway no=one would want to change a descripyion on an aucyion that ended with no bids).
Further to this, when a seller makes changes to a listing (before there are bids) eBay inserts a link at the top of the description so that you can get a summary of the changes made. In this case there is no such link, so actually the description was never changed after the listing was made live by the seller. _________________ Mark |

I can accept that there would be an issue for a buyer that set up a snipe on an auction with no bids and then subsequently the seller changed the description, snipers should be aware of this and either keep an eye on the auction or place an early bid to prevent it happening.
None of that applies to the OPs' case though. _________________ Mark |
