As a first time user of gixen, just confused as to how I lost the auction, when the sold auction price was my maximum bid.
I have just had a look at the review of the bidding, my bid was placed 2 seconds after the bid that won, then the auction finished.
I'm confused as to how it sold at my maximum price when my bid was the last confirmed??
Can anyone please help me with this??
It was item 280751060420 |

When Gixen came to place your bid the auction price was AU 380 so your bid was accepted because it was more than one bid increment more than that.
The eventual winners highest bid was actually exactly the same as yours, on eBay the rule is that when this happens it is the bid that is placed earlier that wins.
If you had bid 0.01 more you would probably have won this auction, that is why people often bid odd amounts. Also if your bid had been earlier (with a higher offset in Gixen terms) than the winners then you would have been more likely to win. _________________ Mark |
