Unable to log in

I have changed my password to register a new one with Gixen. I have paid for two years of mirror service. But when I try to log in I am told I have to use my Gixen account and not my Ebay info.

The username I chose is the same as my Ebay username. Is this the problem?

It is not a good idea to use the same credentials for Gixen as for Ebay.

That said Gixen has not generally prevented people from doing so, until now.

Is it your Ebay password that you have changed ? Because, if so, that won't change the password on Gixen, but it might mean that you need to authorise Gixen to your Ebay account again as sometimes Ebay seems to revoke that authorisation when you change credentials on their site.

There are a couple of forms accessed from the bottom of the Sign Up page here, which might help you to sort out this issue.

I had this same problem. It would REALLY be great if the sign-up screen said you can't use the same username for Gixen as for eBay. I was pulling my hair out because the error messages didn't make sense/apply to my situation.

Now solved thanks to this post, but this frustration could be prevented very easily.
