Gixen fails me

I am a mirror subscriber. I put a bid for an item but didn't win. the item went under the bidding price I specified. The message on Gixen was "bid under asking price". I am really disappointed and don't know what went wrong.

eBay will not accept a bid that is less than one bid increment above the current auction price. This is the only way that an item can sell for less than what you were prepared to pay.

There is nothing Gixen can do in these circumstances... I use a larger offset, it reduces the possibility of this happening.
