Authorization Expired--Shouldn\'t let you add bids!

I didn't realize until after the bid closed that my authorization expired... big bummer, I would have won the auction. But my thought is that users shouldn't be able to add/keep bids in the bid list if the authorization is expired, you should be prompted to fix that immediately when you log on/open up the app!

Was this one where you hadn't reauthorised for over 18 months and it therefore expired ?

In which case you should have had a red warning message on your bids page when you added that snipe.

Or was it one of those where you changed your credentials on Ebay, and that automatically revoked the authorisation ?. Because, in that case, Gixen doesn't get any prior warning of the expiry, and it is only discovered when it next tries to use it, perhaps when it tries to place the bid for you at the end of an auction. There's not really much more that Mario can do in that situation.

I also missed an auction b/c the snipe authorization was expired, but the \"add to Gixen\" add in does NOT indicate this, nor does it fail when you add a snipe. So I missed an auction I would have won and didn't find out until after the fact.

I did not get a red banner, alert, or email warning about needing to extend my authorization. My bid was set up and only after it failed did I get a message that authorization expired. Can this be fixed going forward? Seems like a simple email reminder or fix.

It very much depends on the cause of the authorisation being revoked.

If it was due to Ebay removing it automatically when a change is made4 to credentials, there's no indication that Gixen can react to, until the authorisation is refused the next time Gixen tries to use it.
